Your data, your rights

Privacy & Policies

We believe in being transparent about how we collect, use, and protect your information. Everything you need to know is on this page.

Section 1

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Who We Are

Dish and Tell is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect and process the following information:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Delivery address and billing information
  • Order history and preferences
  • Technical data such as IP address and browser type
  • Cookies and usage data (see our Cookie Policy below)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Process and fulfil your orders
  • Manage your account
  • Send order confirmations and updates
  • Improve our service and website
  • Send marketing communications (only with your consent)
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the basis of contract performance (to fulfil your orders), legitimate interests (to improve our service), compliance with legal obligations, and — where applicable — your explicit consent.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our service (e.g., payment processors, delivery partners, email providers), each bound by confidentiality obligations and data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our service and comply with legal obligations — typically no longer than 7 years for financial records.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. You may also object to processing or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

8. International Transfers

Where we transfer personal data outside the UK or EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or reliance on an adequacy decision.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this section indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Section 2

Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They help the site remember information about your visit, making it easier to use the site again and improving your experience.

Cookies We Use

We use the following strictly necessary cookies:

Authentication

Keeps you signed in during your session. Set by our authentication provider.

Cookie Consent

Remembers your cookie consent preference for 28 days so we don't ask again on every visit.

Session Storage

Stores your cart and checkout state temporarily in your browser. Cleared when you close the tab.

Optional Cookies

We do not currently use any optional analytics or marketing cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting any optional cookies.

Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of this website, including keeping you signed in and remembering your cart.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this section indicates when it was last revised.

Section 3

Marketing & Email Communications

Last updated: May 2026

What We Send

If you have opted in to marketing communications, we may send you emails about new menu items, seasonal specials, promotions, and upcoming events. We will never share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your Consent

We only send marketing emails to people who have explicitly opted in — for example, by subscribing via the notification form on our website or by agreeing to receive marketing when creating an account. We rely on your consent as our lawful basis for sending marketing communications.

Promotional Codes & Offers

From time to time we may offer welcome discounts or promotional codes to new subscribers. These are single-use codes and may have expiry dates. Codes cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or combined with other offers unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to withdraw any promotion at any time.

Opting Out

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing will not affect transactional emails related to your orders or account.

Data Retention

We retain your email address for marketing purposes until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, we may retain your address on a suppression list to ensure we do not accidentally contact you again.

Section 4

Contact Form Data

Last updated: May 2026

What We Collect

When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, message, and — optionally — how you heard about us. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry.

How We Use It

Your contact details are used exclusively to reply to your message. We will not add you to a marketing list or share your details with third parties as a result of submitting the contact form.

Spam Protection

Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-first alternative to traditional CAPTCHA. Turnstile may collect limited browser and device signals to distinguish humans from bots. No personal data is shared with Cloudflare beyond what is necessary for this security check. For more information, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Response Times

We aim to respond to all enquiries within 2–3 business days. During busy periods — such as around event seasons and public holidays — this may be slightly longer.

Data Retention

Messages submitted via the contact form are retained only for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry. We do not store contact form submissions in a database beyond our email records.

Section 5

Account & Order Data

Last updated: May 2026

Creating an Account

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. You may also provide additional profile information such as a phone number or delivery address. This information is used to personalise your experience and facilitate your orders.

Order Information

When you place an order, we collect order details, payment confirmation references, and delivery information. We do not store full card details — payments are processed securely via Stripe, which has its own Privacy Policy.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We recommend using a strong, unique password and never sharing your login details.

Terms of Service

By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to our Terms & Conditions. Orders are subject to availability and confirmation. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes. We reserve the right to cancel orders at our discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued. Cancellations and refund eligibility are described in our ordering terms presented at checkout.

Allergen Information

While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee that any product is free from allergens. Please contact us before ordering if you have a severe allergy or specific dietary requirement.

Deleting Your Account

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us. Note that we may be required to retain certain financial records for up to 7 years to comply with legal obligations.

If you have any questions about this policy, want to exercise your data rights, or have a privacy-related concern, we'd love to hear from you.
